Araigneia

Araigneia
Colour pencil, acrylic, metallic pigment 127 mm x 178 mm, 2017
The first piece in the collection Under The Bed

You know they say you eat eight spiders in your sleep every year? Well, at least five of those will be the doing of this spindly spinster.

This collection of colour pencil drawings explores imaginary monsters that appear at night from a child's perspective. Araigneia is an arachnid creature that reaches into her infested web hair and pulls out spiders to drop in sleeping people's mouths.
