The Dreads

The Dreads
Colour pencil, acrylic, metallic pigment 178 mm x 127 mm, 2017
The second piece in the collection Under The Bed

This collection of colour pencil drawings explores imaginary monsters that appear at night from a child's perspective. Dreads inhabit a human's hair in groups of 3-5. They rip strands of hair out and intertwine them into their dread locks. Their favourite prey are middle aged men, so children need not fear the dreads as they should the other bedtime fiends.
